Concrete resealing is essential to protect your investment and maintain its beauty and durability. Over time, exposure to weather, UV rays, moisture, and traffic can cause stamped, stained, and dyed concrete to fade or become vulnerable to color fading and excessive wear. Resealing creates a protective barrier that does the following:
•Shields against water damage, and harsh chemicals
•Restores the color and texture of decorative or stamped concrete
•Enhances durability, extending the life of your concrete
Per our experts, concrete is more likely to lose its vibrant look and become more susceptible to surface wear and discoloration if it's not regularly resealed (every two to three years).
Stamped concrete is a decorative technique where patterns and textures are imprinted into freshly poured concrete to mimic the look of natural stone, brick, wood, or tile. It’s a cost-effective way to achieve a high-end appearance for patios, driveways, walkways, and more.
Decorative concrete is a type of concrete that combines functionality with aesthetic appeal. By using techniques such as stamping, staining, coloring, and texturing, decorative concrete transforms ordinary surfaces into beautiful, customized designs. It can mimic the look of materials like natural stone, brick, wood, or tile while offering the durability and cost-effectiveness of concrete.
Common applications for decorative concrete include patios, driveways, walkways, pool decks, and interior floors, making it a versatile option for both residential and commercial spaces.
Using equipment like a Bobcat is necessary when working with concrete, which can lead to some yard damage due to the weight of the machinery and materials. Our concrete contractors take steps to minimize damage by avoiding sharp turns and distributing the weight more evenly across the area.
We typically handle three to four projects each week. Stamped concrete jobs usually require three partial workdays:
- The first day is for excavation, forming, and grading.
- The second day is for pouring and stamping.
- The third day is for removing forms, washing, sealing, and final cleanup.
Per our concrete contractors, brushed concrete projects generally take two to three days to complete. We prefer to pour concrete during cooler temperatures to allow for a longer setting and working time. Our scheduling also depends on factors like weather conditions and the availability of redi-mix and pump trucks.

While our concrete contractors value the chance to meet and talk with potential clients, not every project is the right fit for us. We sometimes decline projects if the scope is too small, if the project requires skills outside of our core expertise, or if the budget or schedule doesn’t align with our capabilities. We recognize that we are not the best contractor for every project or customer.
Stamped concrete can be cleaned easily with water or soapy water, and power washing is often the easiest method. The concrete sealer we use needs to be applied in thin layers to be effective, which means it will wear down over time and require reapplication every three to four years to maintain its protective qualities and appearance.
Our concrete contractors offer resealing services and notify customers from four years prior when it might be time for a reseal, including the costs. We also provide instructions and recommendations for homeowners who prefer to reseal their concrete themselves.
Yes, all concrete, including stamped and regular gray concrete, can crack. Typically, concrete cracks along the control joints we place to guide cracking in less noticeable areas. However, sometimes cracks, known as hairline cracks, can appear in other spots. We aim to minimize unwanted cracking by preparing the base properly, placing control joints strategically, and keeping the water content in the mix low while ensuring workability. Our concrete contractors use specialized saws to cut the concrete early, usually the same day we pour. Despite these precautions, some cracking is inevitable. Research has shown that cracking is a natural characteristic of concrete.
According to the National Association of Home Builders, minor concrete cracking is normal, and control joints help manage where cracks occur to make them less noticeable. Cracks can also result from factors beyond the contractor’s control, and repairs may not perfectly match the surrounding concrete in color and texture.
Brushed concrete is a type of concrete finish created by dragging a stiff-bristled brush across the surface of freshly poured concrete. This technique produces a subtle, textured finish that is both functional and visually appealing. The texture provides added traction, making brushed concrete an ideal choice for areas where slip resistance is important, such as driveways, sidewalks, patios, and pool decks.
Brushed concrete is a durable, cost-effective option that offers a clean, simple look while enhancing safety and longevity.
